Mountain State Maple Days
Third Saturday of February and Third Saturday of March Annually
The third Saturday of February and the third Saturday of March each year are Mountain State Maple Days, a statewide celebration of West Virginia’s maple syrup industry. Visitors can tour participating sugarhouses and local businesses, watch live demonstrations of tapping and boiling, and enjoy sampling and purchasing a variety of delicious maple products.

Meet the Makers
Six West Virginia farms and producers are opening their doors this maple season. Tour sugar shacks, taste fresh syrup, and experience mountain traditions firsthand.
Nonprofit
Mountain Cajun Getaway
Circleville, WV
A 501(c)(3) helping combat veterans and their families reconnect at a 100+-year-old farmhouse retreat. Their "Tap To Taste" maple syrup program lets families bond through syrup-making — and 100% of maple product proceeds support the mission.
Family Farm
Ronk Family Farm
Alum Creek, WV
A family-run maple operation on a 100-acre farm with about 25 acres tapped for syrup. During Maple Days, enjoy tapping demos, farm tours, and their crowd-favorite pancake and maple sausage breakfast. Pick up maple mustard, maple BBQ sauce, and maple cotton candy.
Since 2015
Heasley Homestead Maple
Bruceton Mills, WV (Preston County)
A family-owned producer crafting pure, handcrafted maple syrup since 2015. During Maple Days, take a free maple tour, watch sap collection and syrup-making in action, and browse their on-site maple goodies.
Tradition + Tech
Hillsboro Maple Works
Hillsboro, WV (Pocahontas County)
A small, family-run operation producing 100% pure WV maple syrup from the forests of southern Pocahontas County. They combine tradition with modern tech — tubing collection, reverse osmosis, and wood-fired evaporation. Also known for limited-run sycamore syrup.
Working Farm
Gray Farms
Philippi, WV (Barbour County)
A working family farm in the Philippi area that's part cow/calf operation and part maple syrup producer — a sweet, down-to-earth stop where you can experience a slice of real Barbour County agriculture.
Veteran-Owned
Dry Run Spirits Distillery
Dahmer, WV (near Franklin)
Set on the historic Ananias Pitsenbarger Homestead, this veteran-owned, ultra-small-batch distillery crafts traditional Appalachian spirits — including applejack brandy, apple pie liqueur, and maple moonshine made from sap tapped on their own land.
